What To Expect At Your First Visit

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early for your first appointment.

Your First Visit:

From the time you step into our office, you will experience the courtesy and professionalism that Crescent Dental is known for.  We value your time and make every effort to make sure you are seen promptly. When you make your first appointment, you have the option of requesting registration paperwork to be sent to you by email so you don't have to spend extra time filling out forms when you arrive. If you have dental insurance, we will research your benefits ahead of time before your arrival, so you know what services are covered.

At your first visit, we will take a set of digital photos and x-rays to evaluate your oral health.  Our hygienist will also assess your gum tissues health by performing a complete periodontal charting. If you desire, you may also get your fist cleaning (dental prophylaxis) at this time. The doctor will listen to your concerns and perform a detailed dental and oral cancer screening exam.  Then he/she will review the findings with you.  All aspects of the proposed treatment will be explained to you including number of visits, finances, and insurance coverage. Depending on your unique dental condition, you may have several treatment options presented to you. You will be able to ask questions and make informed decisions. We have found this simple approach works very well to make sure everything is clear and understood before any treatment is performed.

Complementary Consultation:

Consultations for cosmetic dentistry, Lumineers or other types of porcelain veneers, Snap-on Smile, ClearCorrect (invisible braces), traditional orthodontics (regular braces), dental implants, and dentures for improving your smile are free and complementary at Crescent Dental.  All you need to do is to make an appointment to see one of the doctors.  We also offer complementary second opinions if you are seeking a different professional opinion about the recommended treatment from another office.  Please bring supporting documentation such as x-rays and treatment plans with you or there may be a small charge for taking additional records here.
