At Crescent Dental we offer a comprehensive range of dental services to the highest standards. We are proud to provide the widest possible choice of general dentistry to our patients including:
Here at Crescent Dental we provide dental services to all the members of your family as young as one years old:
Oral Health Exam
As a gold standard we carry out a thorough oral examination and oral cancer check on every hygiene visit. We will provide you with a full report of the condition of your teeth & gums and any clinical findings.
Composite Fillings
At Crescent, we appreciate the aesthetic concerns many patients have about old metal based fillings and only use the latest natural tooth colored composite or ceramic fillings that are indistinguishable from your own teeth.
Crowns and Bridges
Are used as means of restoring severely broken down or root canal treated teeth or replacing missing teeth.
Replacement of Missing Teeth
Implants are the gold standard for replacement of missing teeth where applicable. An implant is a titanium post that is placed in the space of the missing tooth and a crown is attached to it. Missing teeth can be easily replaced using a dental bridge, which is essentially a restoration that spans the gap between two teeth and supports a crown.
Dentures
Dentures can be used to replace a full set of teeth or a few missing teeth and can be secured using a fixative or dental implants.
Extractions including Extraction of Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth (or third molars) usually erupt between the ages of 17-25 often they can become impacted, infected and grow in the wrong direction causing pain and infection. If the symptoms persist you will need to have them extracted.
At Crescent Dental we offer world-class cosmetic dentistry. Our doctors regularly attend courses and travel extensively all over the country to keep ahead of the latest techniques in cosmetic dentistry. Treatments include:
Smile makeovers
We are smile specialists and can give you a flawless smile to be proud of. Having straighter, longer, shorter and whiter teeth are now all possible using the latest techniques and highest quality materials.
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are wafer thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They can be used to improve the shape of misaligned teeth, the color of your teeth and repair chipped or broken teeth. Lumineers are a recent advancement in cosmetic dentistry as they require no or very little removal of the natural tooth structure. Lumineers porcelain is very strong and can be made in very thin layers therefore reducing the need to reduce the natural tooth structure.
Over time teeth become stained by everyday foods and beverages such as tea, coffee, and red wine. Smoking can also stain your teeth giving them a yellow appearance. This staining is usually quite deep and cannot be removed by normal brushing. At the Smile clinic we use the latest Teeth whitening system to give you a brighter smile.
In-Office Whitening
We use the KOR™ Deep Bleaching from Evolve Dental Technologies for in office whitening. Our in office whitening procedure can make your teeth several shades whiter in just over an hour. This popular lunchtime treatment is very relaxing and many patients choose to watch a movie during the treatment via our over head monitors.
Take-home whitening
To compliment our instantaneous whitening we offer professional home whitening kits to help you keep on top of your whitening regime in the comfort of your own home. A combination of the in office and home whitening system is the perfect solution to give you a dazzling white smile.
A dental implant is a threaded tooth shaped titanium post that is surgically placed into the bone and integrates with the surrounding bone tissue. This period of integration is approximately 4-6 months during which a temporary restoration or dentures can be worn. Dental implants function as an artificial tooth root and can support a crown or bridge, or can be used to secure loose dentures. Here at the Crescent Dental we offer a wide range of dental implants suited to your needs. We can also offer a same day instant implant placement immediately after removal of a hopeless tooth. In most cases you will be able to go home with a brand new tooth as soon as the old one is removed!
A good oral hygiene program is fundamental to keeping healthy teeth and gums. At Crescent Dental our hygienists are highly trained in the detection and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. We regularly educate patients on how to maintain a proper oral hygiene by demonstration correct use of toothbrushes, electric aids, dental floss and inter-dental brushes. We offer scaling ant root planing treatment along with non-surgical antibacterial treatment modalities such as PerioProtect® to effectively treat majority of periodontal disease cases in the office.
During your hygiene appointment our hygienists will carefully examine and chart your teeth and gums noting in particular: inflammation, bleeding, swelling, and the presence of plaque and calculus. Plaque, calculus and surface stains are removed by gentle scraping and polishing. Fluoride treatment and dental sealants also will be provided to children and young adults. Sealants are resinous material that are designed to penetrate into the deep grooves of the back teeth and protect them against cavity causing bacteria.
Underneath your tooth's hard shell within its core is an area of soft tissue called the pulp, which contains nerves and blood vessels. Root canals are small channels that extend from the pulp chamber down to the tip of the root and into the surrounding bone.
When the pulp becomes infected with bacteria following damage to a tooth (decay or trauma), the pulp can die and the infected pulp causes pain and discomfort. Root canal therapy involves clearing out and sterilization of the infected tissue and its replacement with a special sealing material to prevent further re-infection.
Here at Crescent Dental we use the latest techniques for the disinfection of root canals and the latest Nickel Titanium rotary instruments, digital apex locators and thermal condensation to achieve optimum results. At Crescent Dental all endodontic treatment is carried out in a pain-free, single appointment manner to ensure that your treatment is as comfortable as possible.
Orthodontics is a specialty branch of dentistry, which involves the straightening and alignment of teeth by using fixed or removable appliances. At Crescent Dental we commonly perform minor and major orthodontic procedures and are highly experienced in treating occlusion (bite) problems. The type of procedure and orthodontic appliance that you require will depend on several factors, including your age, the current alignment of your teeth, your desired outcome and individual needs.
We also offer invisible braces with ClearCorrect® system which uses a series of clear aligners that are custom-molded to fit you based on the latest computerized technology. The virtually invisible aligners are changed every 2 weeks and gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you'll be proud of. Treatments times vary from case to case but are typically from 6 months to a year.
ClearCorrect® is….
Convenient – it does not disrupt your lifestyle, you can remove your aligners to eat the food you want and clean your teeth.
Discrete – since the aligners are virtually invisible most people won't notice you're in treatment.
Comfortable – there are no metal wires or bands to irritate your mouth.

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder is when the biting surfaces of the teeth do not properly fit together. The way teeth grow out of the jaw is influenced by a number of factors, as genetics, shape of the jaw, and certain environmental conditions can lead to uneven variations in biting surface. If left untreated these variations in jaw structure can eventually cause problems with biting, gum health, speech development, joint function, and the ability to maintain proper oral hygiene.
Some of the symptoms of TMJ disorder include:
Excessive wear and chipping of your teeth
Stiff or tender jaw especially in the morning
Severe headaches and Migranes and stiff neck and shoulder
Difficulty and pain when moving your jaw
Ringing in the ears
Jaw deviation or shift when opening or closing
At Crescent Dental we use specifically fabricated appliances (such as bite splints, night guards and the NTI-TSS® appliance) along with appropriate prescription medications to resolve your TMJ and associated problems. We also offer Botox® injections for treatment of TMJ Disorder and a slew of other oral conditions. Please refer to our BOTOX® specific page for more details.
Sedation services are offered to anxious and very young patients who are unable to sit through long procedures or have fear of dental work. We offer non-IV sedation by way of a liquid sedative medication or a nasal spray in combination with nitrous oxide gas inhalation. We have found that this combination works best in reducing dental anxiety and inducing a state of amnesia which help in not recollecting the details of the dental appointment. Sedation services are offered on a case by case basis on certain days only. Nitrous oxide sedation is offered every day for select dental procedures when requested by the patient and deemed necessary. A complete medical evaluation is necessary to ensure safety of the procedure.
